Hey! I’m Jake and I am a composer and multi-instrumentalist,
From a very young age, I immersed myself in the world of music, captivated by its ability to evoke emotions and tell stories. In high school, I discovered my passion for film and realized the powerful synergy between music and visuals. It was during my sophomore year that I began combining these two passions, experimenting with scoring films and discovering my knack for creating immersive soundscapes.
Driven by this newfound passion, I pursued my dream of becoming a film composer by enrolling at the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). Despite being a freshman, I wasted no time in immersing myself in the world of film scoring, and I am currently privileged to be scoring for several senior thesis films. This journey has been a testament to my dedication, perseverance, and unwavering passion for storytelling through music. Each step has shaped me into the composer I am today, and I am excited to continue my journey, creating music that resonates with audiences and brings stories to life on the big screen.
My Focus
As a film composer, my focus is on crafting emotive and immersive scores that elevate narrative interpretation on the big screen. I specialize in creating music that resonates with audiences, conveying tone, emotions, and the depth of character experiences.
I have developed a deep understanding of what is required to musically convey what the characters are feeling while also guiding the audience in how they should be feeling, combined with my ability to collaborate effectively with filmmakers to bring their vision to life, working with me will be seamless so you can rest easy and feel confident in the musical representation of your production. I am known for my attention to quality, no matter the time constraints; and my dedication to emotive storytelling. I am translating a story into feelings, through music that perfectly represents the project’s tone. I heavily commit to delivering high-quality scores that capture the essence of each project.
As an individual, I am most proud of my ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing industry. I am constantly pushing myself to grow and evolve as a composer, and I take pride in my ability to overcome challenges and deliver music that exceeds expectations. Ultimately, my passion for narrative interpretation and my unwavering dedication to the art of visual media and a higher standard of music for that media, set me apart from others in the field.
My Mission
My mission is to always create an unforgettable cinematic experience for the audience while faithfully representing the vision of each project’s creative leads. It’s about crafting music that deeply resonates with viewers, evoking emotions and enriching their immersion in the story unfolding on screen. This involves accurately capturing the tone, emotions, and character experiences portrayed in the film, ensuring that the audience feels connected and engaged throughout.
Ultimately, success is achieved when the audience leaves the theater feeling moved, inspired, and thoroughly immersed in the cinematic journey we as a production have collectively created.
